Art Furrer
Swiss racer Art Furrer, who first surfaced in the US at Cannon in 1962. He developed and promulgated a series of ski acrobatics that caught the imagination of 1960s skiers. His sponsorship relationship with Hart Skis and the early appearance in the ski press of photos of Furrer performing his stunts made him the best-known face associated with the new freestyle movement in the mid 1960s.
